ABOUT ME

Ben Dro best describes his music as “Feel Gud House Music;” the Bay Area native is poised to deliver a sound that any demographic could adhere to. Committing to music almost full-time during quarantine, Ben Dro figured out quickly that this could turn into something. On top of currently being a senior in the Honors College at University of Arizona, he spends his days producing and DJing for hours on end, lost in the creative flow.
Ben Dro has been active within the music community from his days as a child. His parents took him to music festivals starting in the womb, and he found a love for music at an early age. Picking up drums, trumpet, and percussion throughout his middle and high school years and taking 14 years of private drum lessons has helped him gain knowledge of music theory. In his first year of college, he created a band, with him as the lead drummer of the band. Now, Ben Dro holds two residencies in Tucson and hosts his own curated shows, plays at a wide variety of different events, and is starting to play on more direct support and festival lineups. One of his most recent accomplishments was winning a Battle of the DJs competition for Dusk and was able to open for Loud Luxury, Ship Wrek, and Cheyenne Giles.
Ben Dro really found his motivation to really pursue being a dance music artist after being introduced to the underground house music scene in Los Angeles through Oasis Music Festival and the musical opportunities locally in Tucson for him during college, eventually releasing his first solo single “Not Too Late” on his birthday June 20th, 2021. He followed up his first track with his next solo release “Love Talk” soon after. After “Love Talk”, Ben Dro has been focusing his time perfecting his sound for forthcoming releases. Ben Dro recently released his debut EP, called “Eat. Sleep. House Music.” Ben Dro has worked on getting these tracks out for about a year, and he is excited to finally get it out into the world and start focusing on new projects. Alongside that, he has also gained a following on SoundCloud and other social media platforms after posting consistently fire remixes of top songs such as “Wild Ones” by Flo Rida and “We R Who We R” by Ke$ha being his most recent.
Ben Dro aspires to be known as the “Realest Artist Out There,” but don’t mistake his confidence for arrogance. He strives to be unlike any other artist, setting himself apart from them through his music, fashion, and jewelry.  With a larger-than-life personality and the music to back it up, Ben Dro is 420% locked in on his music career. Nowadays, you can watch him glow up locally in Tucson before he shines through to the world. He has currently DJed in three countries, the US, Mexico, and Italy, and he is getting his tracks and remixes signed to labels and put on festival lineups more and more everyday. With an impressive resume as a direct support for Loud Luxury, Ship Wrek, Cheyenne Giles, DLMT, Forbes, Masteria, and many others, Ben Dro is a name you’ll be hearing for years to come.
